Likes: Character studies, angst, selfcest, liminal spaces, magic realism, concepts in snapshots?? I'm not sure how to put that into more sense; quietly lying your head on a person, the blue glow cinemas always seem to have on tint, brown leaves on the ground getting wet by rain, the quiet of night broken by a sound, recurring patterns, pushing the cracked shards of a mirror through its frame, book-ends. puts my face into my hands im so sorry im like this. Fairytale AUs, symbolism, gore, they all make me scream too.

Dislikes: None in particular except OOCness I think. I'm just a willing canvass really.

Phichit/Yuuri; 430w; G, mentions of anxiety

It's a Wednesday and Phichit comes back to the dorm to find his hamsters playing with Yuuri's anxiety, taken physical form as dark bubbles that float through the air, pouring out from Yuuri's bedroom.

Phichit pokes at one of the bubbles that floats past, humming when he finds that it's too thick to pop, and takes stock of things. Yuuri has a finance midterm tomorrow and then after that, he's going to be focusing all of his attention on preparing for Skate America, in another two weeks. Phichit is pretty sure he knows which of the two Yuuri is feeling more anxious about, but he's been friends with Yuuri for long enough to know that the bubbles don't always have just the one cause.

Stopping by the kitchen in their shared space, Phichit makes two mugs of tea and carries them to Yuuri's room. He isn't even surprised when he finds Yuuri sitting on his bed, notes and textbooks pushed aside so he can review the video Celestino took of him during their last practice. The Yuuri on the screen flubs a jump and the room is suddenly so full of anxiety bubbles that Phichit can barely even see where he's going as he makes his way to Yuuri's desk, putting the mugs down.

"Oh, Phichit?" Yuuri pauses the video and waves the bubbles aside. "I'm sorry—"

"You don't have to be," Phichit replies, handing Yuuri his mug and then settling beside him on the bed. "What can I do to help?"

Yuuri hesitates, another wave of bubbles filling the room until he waves them aside apologetically again, letting them settle on the floor.

"Okay," Phichit changes tactics and takes Yuuri's laptop, opening a new tab in his browser and going to his favourite video of Victor skating. It's the start of an entire playlist of the best routines Victor has skated over the years. "We're going to sit here, drink tea and watch some skating."

"I have to study for my midterm," Yuuri mumbles.

"Yuuri. We both know that you're just going to keep watching your training video. You deserve a proper break!"

Just as Phichit expects, Yuuri relaxes as they sit side by side, marvelling at the same videos they've watched countless times before. By the time they've gone through the entire playlist, there are fewer bubbles in the room. When Phichit pokes at one experimentally, he's pleased to find that it pops immediately.

"The power of Victor Nikiforov, huh?"

"Not Victor." Yuuri leans into his side with a small, content smile. "That was all you. Thank you."
