Gentarou as Kikuhiko and Dice as Sukeroku really is such perfect casting and I will never be over it. Their personalities just map flawlessly to so much of rakugo canon.
Gentarou realizing, after Dice's prompting, that the rakugo he is best suited to is the erotic stories.
Gentarou as someone who separates his inner self from the image of himself that he presents to the world, who values performing because every character he inhabits is a layer of distance he can wrap around himself as a barrier and a disguise. Gentarou having that same flash of inspiration moment where he realizes that performing is allowed to be a selfish, deeply personal act, that putting a little bit of his truest self into each character he plays both makes them feel more alive and further obfuscates what is real about him and what is lies. Through performing he can become a creature composed of nothing but falsehoods, something fake which is paradoxically, simultaneously, entirely true.

Gentarou being most comfortable in his mon-tsuki kimono, in the most traditional and formal clothing befitting his profession. Dice never dresses decently if he can help it but Gentarou will wear him down into looking the part, given a long enough time. He'll dress Dice himself if he must.
