Valentines Lockers 2017!

We're back!! Modeled after iwatobiwhiteday, Valentine's Day Lockers is a low-pressure/low-stress note/gift-giving event, centered around Valentine Day. Although the event is hosted on Dreamwidth, a DW account is not required to participate.





Sign ups open: January 14
Sign ups close/Lockers open and gift giving begins: February 1
Gifts will be screened until the reveal.
Reveal/Last day of gift-giving: February 14/28

This is not a traditional exchange so there are no assignments. Here's an overview of how it works:



Anyone who wants to can sign up and submit a mini wishlist (more on this when sign ups go up!).
Everyone who signs up will get their own "locker": a post with their name in the subject line and their wishlist as the text of the post.

Any fandom is welcome!
Wishes and gifts do not have to involve romance.

A friending meme will be running alongside the event, so everyone can go and get to know each other and make gift/note giving easier (hopefully!). FRIENDING MEME IS UP HERE



Anyone is welcome to give notes/gifts, regardless of whether you've submitted a wishlist yourself.

You do not have to have your own shoe locker.
You do not have to have a Dreamwidth account.

This can be in the form of art, comics, fic, vids, fanmixes, icons and other graphics AND/OR a nice note (or love letter? who knows) for the person.
You can give as many or as little gifts as you'll like!

General rules apply - all work must be original and previously unposted elsewhere. No bashing of any fandom/character/ship etc. Be nice, have fun and enjoy the event!
Please keep all submissons anonymous until reveals!
There are no requirements or minimums (nor any limits!) - short drabbles, sketches etc are encouraged! Longer works are also warmly welcome! Even if you could just leave a small note that'll brighten the other persons day - that'll be perfect!

Everyone is encouraged to browse the lockers and create gifts and/or notes. You might do it for a friend or a crush or someone you admire or even someone you don't know whose wishlist details inspire you.
Comments to the "shoe locker" posts will be screened until the reveal.
Lockers will remain open until the end of the reveal day.
