What does your screen name mean? "sotong" means squid in Bahasa Malaysia and like a fool, past!me decided to name myself "squidsquid".
Which fictional world would you want to be in, and why? Okami! The colours, textures, music, wind, lore, e-ve-ry-thing. The atmosphere/environment has always made my head feel floaty and I'll always be in love with the richness of its world.
Tell us your fandom origin story: I got into shipping through Lavi/Allen (DGM) and lmfao we had so few fics on FF.net back then that I just went "eh why not" and wrote.
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? Nasi lemak kit kat. It was a conFUSION alright.
Would you rather always be cold or always be hot? WHY ARE THERE NO IN-BETWEENS, I ALREADY LIVE IN THE TROPICS BUT GETS ICE COLD FINGERS UNDER AIRCOND. LET ME LIVE.

Talk to me about a recent (or not-so-recent) obsession: Concept photography! Especially by Mit Photography and MERON, I love the metaphorical slap across the face I get from their work, the pain and meaning shoved/hidden into every frame.

Fandoms You're Currently In: I swapped the question because this is more pertinent; most of what I'm watching right now is rewatches. But I'm presently really into Yuri on Ice and getting back into Yowamushi Pedal (watching season three!!) and my affection for Love Live is still holding steady. I'm also very pumped about Keijo, Pokemon Sun & Moon, and Fate series, I rewatched Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: UBW and am now playing Fate/Extra for the PSP. Besides that, I recently watched Mob Psycho 100 and (re)watched Gundam Wing, and am currently rewatching Cowboy Bebop and Code Geass!
Favourite Animangavg: Some of my favorite series of all time are Hikaru no Go, HunterxHunter, and Uninhabited Planet Survive. (please watch it, no one knows it, it's slow but I love it.) Oldschool faves include Cowboy Bebop, Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, and Digimon. Newer faves include Code Geass, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, Samurai Flamenco, Silver Spoon, Oofuri, Ping Pong, Chihayafuru, Yowamushi Pedal, and Yuri on Ice. I also really love stuff like Mushishi, Natsume Yujin-cho, and Mononoke, for the specific mood they evoke through telling stories about the supernatural. Games-wise, I adore the pokemon and harvest moon franchises, and am also really fond of breath of fire, golden sun, final fantasy tactics advanced, and everything by nippon ichi, but most particularly phantom brave. (disgaea is great, but... phantom brave.)
Favourite Films/TV Shows: Favorite movies include The Butterfly Effect, Leon: The Professional, The Matrix, and Hard Candy. Favorite TV shows include "just about every US crime drama ever." A semi-comprehensive list includes: Person of Interest, The Good Wife, Law and Order (and SVU), NCIS, Bones, Castle, Lie to Me, Hawaii Five-0, Criminal Minds, Numbers, Chuck, Leverage, White Collar, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Rizzoli and Isles, The Closer, Major Crimes, and The Mentalist. Besides crime dramas, I like old cartoons like ReBoot, Code Lyoko, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Jackie Chan Adventures.
Favourite Books/Literature: I'm adding this question because music is here, but not books? I have book fandoms, I don't have music fandoms. My favorite authors are Diane Duane, Tamora Pierce, and Neal Stephenson, and I especially love Tamora Pierce's Immortals quartet, and Neal Stephenson's book, The Diamond Age, or: A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer. (please read it, I'm so lonely)
Favourite Band/Music: I've been disgustingly fond of Walk the Moon for an age now. Please listen to work this body if you haven't before because it simultaneously gets me so pumped and turns me into an incoherent heap of emotions. Also please listen to freak out by Every Avenue. Fair warning it's nothing BUT drowning imagery and that is exactly why I adore it.
Favourite Food: Anything I don't have to cook myself, lol. (I love cooking for other people, myself, not so much.) Sushi. Curry and chili and super saucy pasta are all nice comfort foods for me.
Tell us a story! I met a lot of my current friends before I "met" them, either through them commenting on my fic before we talked, giving me a business card at a con before we properly got to know each other, or running into each other in a previous fandom but only talking once we got into a recent one. It's kind of hilarious how often I have near-misses with people only to catch them again later!

What does your screen name mean? My dreamwidth handle means "I'm too stubborn to make a new account and too cheap to spend $15 for a rename token." My twitter handle is actually cute and is "catlarks" because that me, I am a catbird.
Which fictional world would you want to be in, and why? This question implies I'm CAPABLE of thinking beyond Harry Potter and Pokemon universes. There is no question of "want," if I existed in a fictional world it would be one of those.
Tell us your fandom origin story: There are two versions of this. The short version is, way back when on neopets dot com, a baby Lira discovered fandom. The longer version goes, way back when baby Lira only wrote original fiction and didn't really do fandom, but then FFN split off fictionpress, and baby Lira made a nice group of online friends by reading and commenting on their original M/M slash stories. That group of online friends were all very into digimon fandom, and... Everything kind of went downhill from there. :')
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? What immediately comes to mind is the peanut butter, pickle, and provolone cheese sandwich I ate to prove a point. It was mildly less disgusting than it sounds.
Would you rather always be cold or always be hot? Always hot. I'll take being a sweaty mess over the mind-numbing pressure headaches I get the instant the temperature goes below freezing, thanks.
If you could have any kind of pet, what would you have? Within the realm of realworld possibilities, I am absolutely a cat person. If the sky is the limit, I want a tiny chameleon dragon that changes colors based on what liquid you dunk it in.
Talk to me about a recent (or not-so-recent) obsession: I'm obsessive by nature so fandom in and of itself is obsession enough. Besides fandom and writing, my primary hobby is crochet. I'm pretty sure "six huge storage containers of yarn and counting" probably constitutes obsession.

What does your screen name mean? It doesn't have any meaning in particular, I like the aesthetic of gold, soft yellows, oranges, cream, and "idris" is an elegant-sounding word.
Which fictional world would you want to be in, and why? Howl's Moving Castle, I think any Ghibli world would be beautiful and vibrant but this movie is the one that sticks in my mind the most as being a fantastic place full of magic!
