AAAAAAAAAA OMG YOURE AN ARHCAEOLOGIST??? thats so coooool!!!!!!! i did ancient history in high school and i really loved all the archaeology related stuff and Ive always wondered what it was like to work as one *starry eyes*

yeees i am! i'm in my first year of a phd in archaeology right now, i love it so much :') it's super fun to be an archaeologist, i promise you (though kind of hard too, the weather is always terrible)

Mm, I'm looking at cultural exchange on the byzantine-balkan frontier - whether there was a concept of a 'border' and how each side regarded each other? It's focusing on how archaeologists tend to use modern concepts (like nationalism) on societies that didn't really have an equivalent.
