Tell us a story! This is my favorite embarrassing fandom related story to tell people - okay so: I got into H/D in spring 2011, like SUPER into H/D. And so I went scouring through the internet for all the H/D fanfiction I could find and, you know, eventually found the big bang baby challenge and stuff. But at the time I was still in high school and couldn't exactly lug my laptop around when I was supposed to be paying attention to schoolwork (lol) for six hours a day; so every day in the morning I would find all the H/D fanfic I though I could read during the day (and I usually estimated myself pretty well - I'm a fast reader), copy and paste it in Microsoft Word, make half inch margins and change the fond to like 8pt Calibri 1cm paragraph spacing and then print it out. Sans-serif saves ink and Calibri is the smallest readable sans serif font for the record (if any of you want to do this.)
Anyway, so like, these fics were like, 40k - 70k words long, right? And I'd print out at least two every day 'cause I could read at least two every day. So when I printed them out they broached, like, thirty pages per fic, usually. ... Thirty pages doublesided, for the record. So this one time I was printing one out - a 40k one - and I ACCIDENTALLY PUT IN 7 COPIES WHEN I MEANT TO DO SOMETHING ELSE and since I was rushing in the morning I hit enter and was like FUCK because this is like, TWO HUNDRED PAGES OF THE SAME H/D STORY AND THAT'S GONNA TAKE LIKE FIFTEEN MINUTES TO PRINT. So I was like shit shit and tried to cancel it but it was already going through and so I ran to the computer and was silently crying as seven copies of a single NC-17 drarry fanfiction printed from my school's printers.
And then. AND THEN. The strictest librarian, who usually liked me, came over to me and was like "what are you printing??" and I was like "umm" cause I'd been standing by the printer for like five minutes already. And she was like "is this for school?" and I was all "uhh YES YES IT IS" and it kept printing and printing and oh god.
And then on the last copy she lifted a page and read like the first paragraph and was like "this isn't schoolwork this is Harry Potter" and I was just like UM and then it stopped printing and I just grabbed all seven fucking copies, all two hundred fucking pages, stuffed it all into my backpack and hastily ran out of the library covering my 16 year old face in shame. I COULDN'T EVEN BRING MYSELF TO RECYCLE ALL OF THE COPIES FOR LIKE TWO WEEKS EVERY TIME I SAW THE STACK IN MY BACKPACK I FELT SO MUCH SHAME SO I JUST FUCKING LEFT IT THERE.

YEP i was right in the early days of it in '06, i tend to check out things when they come out so usually i'm right at the start unless it's something i purposely ignored thinking i wouldn't like it and then someone proved me wrong abt it lmao THE SHOW HAD GREAT LADIES THO it's sad a lot of them were love interests but they were still great. i think shawn/lassie is the main thing/appeal cuz ppl went crazy for the banter/"i will cuff you" stuff early on lmao it was a very "i want to kill you so much and yet we're making out" pairing, not to mention shawn being the biggest flirt on the surface of the earth. shawn/gus is def rarer, canonically there's no one else who'll put with as much of shawn's shit than gus so he was often the one dealing w shawn "being in love" w others cuz no one else would. SO BASICALLY LIKE IN THE SHOW lmao

i printed a lot of lovely official art~ in regular photo size and A4 size~ they're Yami no Matsuei and lots of Clamp stuff too and I think Tenipuri was also part of the collection lmaooo. I even put them all in a physical picture album and the print ppl there were kinda... eyeing me and the pics /hides face/ so nothing too uhm... nc-17, except maybe lol the pretty Yami no Matsuei pics and X pics that are kinda gay-ish, I mean look!!!.
