lmao please 80% of why i care abt a series can just be visuals/design so i totally understand, everyone looks great. AJIN COMES OUT TOMORROW, first eps can get delayed tho.

doing b/w film was a mandatory class at school, it looks gorgeous but it's such a tedious process?? also the amount of shirts i ruined at the photo lab... never again lmao i understand abt the assingments tho i mean it's required to learn the tecnique but also you're like but thiiis isn't whaaat i like, i could barely do fashion until i had my advertising/editorial class. and ohhh cute!! close-up photography can be so hard with the lighting and needing specifical lenses/macro to make it work! i've only ever done it once with baby frogs lmao
HIGHFIVE!!! i'm not that much of a fashionable person but i LOVE shooting glamour shots and editorials can be so much fun and even if it's just selling clothes so much goes behind it?? like the big editorials are soooo inspired art-wise, you'll see reinassance or baroque or pop art, I LOVE IT
lenses are the DEVIL, anything you want relatively good/useful is like over the $500 usd mark. i only spend every once in a while cuz that's exactly it i want the stuff that will last me and not just waste money in stuff that's not gonna be great in the long run (except the basics to like, be able to do SOME work i suppose). i use canon so everything costs a leg (nikon is a tad bit cheaper) but it's so worth, i love the quality.
ALSO OMGGG MY GRANDPA DID PHOTOGRAPHY TOO, he had to work at a factory to support my grandma & his kids but his hobby was taking pictures, i also inherited his equipmnet (which was also canon! runs in the family), so i have a really nice film camera and some lenses, even a light machine (idk what the term is in english) & lab equipment for developing film. sadly i can't trade off the lenses w my digital body!! and lmao i understand i took a huge leap and got a canon 5d mark III last yr and it has sooo much stuff but it's just a matter of sitting down w the manual and just touching buttons. what brand is it?? maybe i can help!!!

SURE!! i'll add ya on twitter :)

I usually gotta have a plot/interesting characters to enjoy a thing but it does look pretty stylish so I may give it a go. Here's to hoping Ajin is on schedule!
Continuing from way earlier, I watched Erased/Boku Dakeskghkaeg whatever. It's... interesting? I don't like how the characters act/react at all in the 1st episode but the pacing is really good and I'm kind of torn on watching it cause I don't think it'll really be worth the time in the long run? But I'm also curious now lmao... Oops. I don't really have the time/energy to watch a bunch of shows and apparently the manga hasn't ended yet either (usually a bad sign for anime), so I'm debating if I'm curious enough to try to remember to watch it.

I took B&W for fun and enjoyed it. I really wouldn't want to do color printing though? That just sounds like a recipe for disaster for me. OMG, do you have the baby frog photos handy? I wanna see! And yeah, half the time my lighting is totally garbage cause I don't have materials to set anything up properly, or I'm just lazy. I just love the crazy stuff that goes into editorials. It's like "let's just do a homoerotic photoshoot and make it crazy and also maybe put some designer clothes in" half the time, and I love that. NGL I get really excited whenever I poke through a magazine and see that it's got like, a Mert & Marcus shoot or something in it.
RIGHT. I've been lucky to get some decent lenses in the $150-250 mark, and I got given a micro-nikkor (and had my grandfather's ooooooold micro-nikkor previously) so I'm relatively set for what I like to do. I feel like I should branch out into telephoto lenses but they're sooooo expensive and probably not the area of focus I want to be in. I also like to do concert photography if I can get a photo pass, but you need real fast lenses for that so that's generally what I prioritize? I don't think I could ever afford a longer lens that would be fast enough to use under most concert conditions.
I'm actually partial to Nikon myself! I've always preferred the interface and feel of the bodies. And my grandfather had Nikon so that also runs in the family, lol!
As mentioned above it's a Nikon. I've sat down with the manual a bit but then I went out of town and haven't gotten back to reading it.

Added you!
